Who We Are

The JackBuh Foundation helps communities in need by giving them surplus items like clothes, school supplies, and tools for learning new skills. We focus on education, healthcare, and job training to make lasting change and help people support themselves.

We dream of a world where everyone has the chance to thrive, creating positive and lasting change in communities everywhere.

Founder’s Inspiration
The JackBuh Foundation was founded by Jackson Buhendwa, whose life journey shaped its mission. Born in Bukavu, Democratic Republic of Congo, he was forced to flee due to conflict, eventually seeking refuge in Angola. After years of displacement, he resettled in the United States, where he gained a deeper understanding of global challenges and the need for change.
These experiences deepened Jackson's commitment to improving the lives of those in Congo, leading to the creation of the JackBuh Foundation, dedicated to addressing poverty and conflict in the region.

Why Help Africa?

Jackson’s commitment to Africa comes from his deep concern for the struggles its people face. He has seen poverty, the effects of conflict, and families and children without basic needs like food and healthcare. Jackson wants to help create lasting solutions to improve their lives.

Having lived through hardships like walking miles without shoes, feeling hunger, and witnessing poverty, Jackson understands the daily challenges many people face. But he also sees the strength and resilience of the African spirit. Through the JackBuh Foundation, he is dedicated to providing resources and hope, helping the next generation thrive.

Poverty in Africa

Extreme poverty affects millions across Africa, including in Congo, where over 70% of people live on less than $1.90 a day. Several factors contribute to this:

Conflict and Instability: Ongoing wars and weak governments hold back development, especially in Congo.

Displacement: Millions, including in Congo, have been forced to leave their homes.

Colonial Legacy: The exploitation of Africa’s resources during colonial times still affects economies, especially in Congo.

Basic Needs: Many lack access to clean water, healthcare, and education, particularly in Congo.

Resource Exploitation: Armed groups profit from Africa’s resources, worsening poverty and human rights abuses, especially in Congo.

Other Challenges: Disease outbreaks, refugees, and poor infrastructure make life harder across Africa, including in Congo.

Our Mission

The mission of the JackBuh Foundation is to make a lasting impact on vulnerable communities across Africa, especially children, who are the future. Over the next five years, we aim to support 1 million people by providing essential resources like food, healthcare, education, and clean water.

Our goal is not just to give aid, but to offer hope and opportunity. We want to help lift communities out of poverty and empower them to build a brighter, self-sufficient future.

While the journey is tough, it’s possible. With God’s grace and the support of donors who believe in our mission, we can change lives, one at a time.
